Meet The Trainer
Sharon Cousins (Formerly Haslam) has been working with dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes for over 10 years using kind and humane training techniques and has a vast range of experience in the training of dogs with Behavioural Problems and also Obedience Training. Her training started in Michigan, USA back in 1998 when she attended many dog training and behaviour counselling seminars by professionals such as Sue Sternberg and Patricia McConnell. When her career took a different turn in 1999 she started training to become a Qualified and Certified Guide Dog Instructor which was completed 4 years later and she earned her Qualification as a Guide Dog and Obedience Instructor. Sharon has also attended workshops for T-TOUCH Therapy which is an alternative and therapeutic way to help you become more connected with your dog and Clicker Training workshops.

Sharon has successfully run her business called Happy Tails Dog Training since October 2004 and helps to retrain dogs with all kinds of problems using positive reinforcement, no matter how big or small. She also works alongside various animal refuges helping to rehabilitate and rehome rescue dogs. Spending 5 years in Tenerife, Sharon gained continuing knowledge and experience working with K9 Animal Refuge aswell as successfully training a wide variety of breeds and rescue dogs.
Having relocated back to Lancashire in the UK, Sharon is now pleased to offer help and advice to dog owners in and around the surrounding area of Ormskirk, Lancashire and also Wigan, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Leigh, Aintree, Standish, Skelmersdale and Liverpool.
